What should I bring with me?
The weather in Oatlands can be unpredictable, and we strongly encourage you to bring warm layers and a water-proof jacket in the event of cold, wet or windy weather. In the event of bad weather, you will be able to retreat to the studio for indoor work. If you are planning to work outdoors, you should bring a hat and sunscreen.
You will need to bring all of the necessary art materials for your own projects. We will provide oil painting mediums, solvents, and easels so you do not need to travel with them. We will also provide basic drawing materials for sketching. If you are a plein air painter and prefer a particular easel type for working outdoors, we recommend that you bring this with you if you can.
Meals and dietary requirements
Lunch and dinner will be provided each day, along with a light afternoon tea. Lunches will consist of sandwiches, quiches, boxed salads etc that are suitable to grab-and-go if you want to keep working on your projects, or if you would like to venture out for a picnic lunch. Each evening, dinner will be provided at The Kentish Hotel. This will typically be a two-course meal with a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option.

We can cater to dietary needs such as vegetarian and vegan, or for food intolerances such as gluten or lactose-free; please let us know your requirement or intolerance at the time of booking. However, if you have a serious condition, such as coeliac disease please email us to discuss before booking. We cater to dietary needs rather than preferences.
